Short days do seek the breach of May
Fair light does dim cold night's dismay
Hell's shrouds do tear on youthful prose
And withered buds do bear new rose

Yet, on love's threshold ever meek
Unlikely, hearts may chance to meet
While lost hopes pave grim roads unsought
Love's true ways aren't desires sought

Like oceans met by rivers long
Love's harps are strung by two souls strong
And guided by the heavens high
These fledglings met, with wings shall fly

As time blooms winter's blossoms white
Pure love will hold through bitter plight
As cold times do end, upon spring's sight
May eternal light, kindle love's
flames bright
