That was then...This Is Now

Once upon a time,
Looking up into your eyes,
Once filled me with butterflies.
That was then,
This is now.
I sit behind you,
I’m silently pleading with you to say “hello”.
Remember back when,
When then was now,
Wrestling in the grass,
I never thought,
Maybe it wouldn’t last.
But that was then,
This is now.

I like the simplicity and honesty of this.
I hope things are all well. And I'm the same. I sometimes find myself thinking about are days together...saying one thing that I most definitely do not want to admit: I'm not over him.
But, you're poem's nice. It's relatable. Put a little more imagery into it though.
