All the spark in her eyes was gone
Our tear ducts held back the storms in our hearts
In my presence she still felt alone
The thought that always made me fall apart
In that moment we both reminisced
Realizing that all the happiness we shared has diminished
"Forever and Always", that was our saying
But it lost more meaning every time it was said
The fights and arguments, screams and yells
A hiatus, the only thing that remained
I watched as her whole being turned to broken pieces
Every hit that she took soothed the pain I bestowed upon her
As the smoke replaced the air in her lungs
It blew the fog that blurred our dreams and wishes
My love did not satisfy her any longer
Now it was the drug that spelled out joy to her
13th of April, the was the end of it all
Others have come into my heart
One was a lady full of uncertainty and lust
But she brought more pain than a peace of mind
The line between bliss and sorrow has been vague since then
Till this day, if I listen carefully, I could still hear it;
The wind that whistled our life together.
