The wind forced the trees to their knees
I gazed at the water retreat from the winds call

The wind sent shivers down my spine
My body immobilized
I was cemented into the crisp scratchy sand

The wind mixed up something fierce
Dead fish and wood burning combined
Shot directly up into my nostrils

The wind crept its way on to my tongue
Harsh fully stealing all the moisture in my mouth
Replacing it with damp and dry sand

The wind dipped in and out of ever crevasse
Circulating itself like a whirlpool
Diving deep within my ears
Drowning out the cries of others on the beach
