The Bottle

She’s surrounded by friends,
She’s alone,
She falls over laughing,
She’s miserable,
She beams and poses for a picture,
Tears are brimming in her eyes,
She doesn’t have muscle,
She’s strong,
Her composer says self-confident,
She hates herself,
She’s a talker,
Her emotions are bottled,
She looks calm and relaxed,
The Bottle is cracking,
Then… She snaps,
The Bottle is broken,
She tries to pull herself together,
The Bottle is shattered,
She can’t get up
The pieces are fading,
She gives up,
The pieces are gone…
