A shattered star
broken on the ground
myriad light
splashing onto the mountains
coating the oceans
staining us with its brilliancy

and cries to the wind
and pleads to the moon
who shines in disdain
on a high throne
who quells a kingdom of shadows
alone and
mourning as he fades
to nothing

And the star is also alone
a broken angel
spilling life onto the world
apart from the levity of the heavens
and the quiet supremacy of the sun's song
he is alone
a lamp gone out
and darkness
falls and
feeds

so... yeah not my best, kinda choppy and doesn't lead very well.
