Water

Water

I run along the sidewalk,

the hot cement burning my feet

the Water edging ever closer as I run,

my feet leave the ground and I plunge into the pool

The Water swirls around me,

a pleasantly cool temperature,

hearing nothing,

I watch the bubbles float up,

passing me on their way to the surface

I slowly fall down to the bottom,

waiting for the familiar feeling,

my feet touching the bottom of the fake ocean,

I push upward,

passing the bubbles as I float to the top,

emerging from the Water.
