She gave you everything
Her world, love, and heart
Never knew that one day you would be gone
Forever
Tears stream down her pale cheeks
As she tries to find comfort in old memories
She’s suffocating
Can barely breathe
She’s an angel but now with broken wings

You were her everything
Her world
Why can’t you open your eyes and see what you’re doing to her?
She sacrificed everything for you
Now her heart is icy cold
Won’t show any mercy
It’s blackening her soul
Her eyes burn with fire

Couldn’t you see I was just a fragile girl?
Now I am anything but

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem after I have been hurt by so many "father figures" and boyfriends in my life. I know other people have it worse than I do, but this piece is to help all the girls out there that they are not alone and that many other girls understand what they are going through.
