I close my eyes and see it,
Like watching an old horror film.
But it is far from Hollywood.
So real, so much fear.
I open my eyes to make it stop,
But it is still there,
As real as ever.
Proving it really happened.
The noise drowns it out,
It is my only comfort,
Nobody to say that it will be okay,
Because nobody knows.
The terror they think is caused,
From nothing at all.
