Time: A Delicate Thing

Time is a delicate thing.
Treat every day like it’s the last second.
Spend every moment in love and laughter.
Live for the moments like Happy Ever After.
Hold on to all love.
Keep your head in the sky above.
Most people say “live life to the fullest”; well I say live everyday like it’s the last.
You never know when this life is past.
Everyday we’re another day older.
It never seems to last.
I don’t want to look back on my life and say “Oh my! How time is passed”
Time is a delicate thing.
There is 86,400 seconds in a day.
Don’t let one go in vain.
These seconds are precious and they never last.
Time is a delicate thing.
This life is borrowed and one day we’ll need to return it.

The author's comments:
What inspired me to write this, is that some teens today think that nothing is ever going to happen to them, that they're invincible, and I wanted to write this and hope that, it makes the reader look at themselves a little deeper than usual and realize that life is very short. What I hope that people get from this is, life and time is precious, and that this life is only borrowed and one day we will have to give it back.
