A shot at what could be more
If only I would take the time
To say "hi" when you walk by
Or smile when you look my way
No time for love
No time for rejection
That's what they all say
Giving up on something I haven't tried
I deserve a medal
True Love
Something I avoid trying to settle
Tender Kisses
Multiple Hour Conversations
Its all a dream
That day when I can actually see you with me
A white picket fence
With a dog and two kids
The American Dream they call it
But all of that nonsense
I don't want
I want you, flaws and all
But I have a dilemma,
Will you catch me If I fall ?

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because I had feelings for a certain someone. I felt that the public would see us as a bad couple. However, I cam to the realization that it doesn't matter what they say. If I choose to be with you and you choose to be with me, we can make it happen.
