If it doesn't burn or blow up, I'm not interested.

Soft, yellow petals float
slowly down the long stem
towards the soft and worn ground.

Fall is here, so
the proud sunflower sheds
its beautiful petals.

The tall, grand flower
crumples slowly to the ground,
ready to grow full again come spring.

This was a poem I had written for my middle school's literary magazine back in 8th grade. I had had one of my friends do a drawing to go along with it.
