You Don't Know Me
I am not the type of person people look for help of any kind.
Well maybe a quick fix.
Then back to nothing.
But see the thing is, you people don’t really KNOW me.
You see me as the person that’s angry at the world.
Uncaring and unloving.
In reality that’s far from the truth, I’m the opposite from those.
Caring and loving.
Ask anyone that KNOWS me.
They’ll tell you.
I can have my times, my times of doubt and hopelessness.
I come through knowing that some people actually need me.
They need me for my support I give.
The love I show, as well as the care.
I volunteered at a senior citizen home.
Working with dementia and Alzheimer’s patients.
I give back.
I also take my own heat.
See but all this here, you didn’t know.
So before you judge me or anyone for that matter think first; they could be just like you.
