I'm Just Tired
She sits at the table with her friends.
They are talking.
She sits silently, thinking.
"Are you alright?" they ask.
"Yeah," She says. "I'm just tired"
"Oh, ok."
They turn away.
She sits in class.
She is quiet,
Lost in her thoughts.
The teacher asks a question.
She doesn't hear.
"Are you ok" the teacher asks.
"Yeah," she says. "I'm just tired"
“Oh, ok".
The teacher starts teaching again.
On the way home,
She sits silently in the car,
Staring out the window.
Her father looks at her.
"What's the matter?" he asks.
"Nothing" she says. "I'm just tired".
"Oh, ok."
He keeps driving.
She gets home.
She sits on her bed,
Watching the reflection crying in the mirror.
She looks at herself.
"What's wrong with you?" she asks
"Everything." she says.
