In a broken heart
The nights seem to drag on
And the tears groaned when they fell off her face, soaking the
Pillow.
She is a servant to her own misery,
Her eyes moaned and she begins to rub

The boys hand rose to place an undeserved hidden scar,
An exact year ago,
Touching its downward path on her flushed cheek
The noise of his scream sang in her ear;
It’s a damaging and tense shout
Bellowing loudly

She was trapped in this thought
Ensnared and going into a mid-plunge
Watching as her frail wrist drips a strawberry red
Letting it consume her, abiding by its rules
And dives head first into a cutters world

Turning to dark, she had no chance
With an unsteady finger she pointed
Longing for the metallic edge that was grinning

Her mother eyes seemed watery and lost
She was too young to want this
She pointed, fear drank her
And its trajectory wasn’t clear
It couldn’t be interrupted
In a broken heart
