salt-rimed steeds born of the sea
who tosses their manes to the listening sky?
and stirs them to touch
the drifting clouds on high?
the wind
that whispers from far corners of the earth
as it inspires new life -
rebirth
boundless energy
spirits unchained
roaming the lands
free and untamed
secrets gathered - memories found
decades of wandering,
finally unbound
the winds of time that drive away
the hopelessness
the yesterdays
the might-have-beens and empty days
wind twirls and sings without a sound
wind drives the horses to higher grounds.
