To God, I Do Not Pray
Three letters, one word
Indefinite meaning
Controversy, that's all it really has to bring
His name politely kept under your tongue
The lack of proof in his existence itching out from under your thumb
When questioning him is equal to defying him
It leaves no room for free thoughts,
No room for philosophical thinking
His words confining you
Trapped under the weight of the church
Condemned with each and every bible verse
Isn't if funny how forgiveness is what they preach?
And eternal damnation what they teach
Ask me what I think about religion
You'll be asking me about my atheist upbringing
