The solitary rain drop breaches the surface, echoing throughout
Restoring to placidity, the ripples begin to dissipate
A minty bubble glides upward, bursting daintily
Causing a fresh breath of solemnity
All is trapped in glass
Except for the crisp edge where the wind and water trickle over
Colder than an icy blade
The trickling water trespassing among the spiky veins
The life of a goldfish
