Average Spring Day
I sat in my living room
and noticed the graying outside.
Dark clouds covered the whole area.
The TV was on,
but I wasn’t watching.
I looked outside and watched,
watched the rain start to pour down.
Thunder sounds
and I saw the lightning light up the sky.
I decided to go to my garage
to get a better view.
There was a blue folding chair
so I took a seat.
The rain started to make a beat,
that sounded like drums.
The humidity whacked me in the face.
I was mesmerized,
Watching the branches sway,
the stream of water running down the street,
and the rain hit the ground
and bounced back up.
The humidity filled my nose,
so I smelt nothing else but rain.
I sat there,
for who knows how long.
I couldn’t think of anything,
more pretty and relaxing
then a rainy spring day.
