The Wonders of Rain
The slight pitter-patter of rain on the rooftops,
That is the sound of those itty-bitty rain drops.
When they fall from the sky,
They come from oh, so high,
They land on the ground,
And spread joy all around.
Joy is in the air,
It's even in your hair!
Along with rain comes another thing too,
It's not red, it's not white, it's not even blue.
Rain comes with thunder and lightning and clouds,
And with all these things, a storm comes around.
Storms can cause fear, but also delight,
Storms can last all but through the night.
In the morning, the sun comes out,
The world is gray and turns about.
It turns the page over and starts anew,
Once the storm is done, it bids adieu.
Oh, the wonders of rain,
It can wash away your pain.
