Stars pass by, like cosmic fireflies
Behind, a tinted crystal world of wonders
A distant carnival, muffled and mocking, in a far gone place
The shifting of ideas, the cogs of a mind endlessly ticking
A faint scent, reviving dead and forgotten memories
A surge of smell, an old candy shop, still not closed
A hint of delicacy not meant for me, a runaway on the wind
A taste of crisp air, blown from a faraway place
A smooth soul of cold, sending out armies of goose bumps across my skin
Infinite, for one fleeting second, the emptiness of space
A faded sadness, touched with relief
