I used to only see negatives
My glass was never half full
Instead half empty
A nice thing said
Always had a negative to follow
“You look very cute today”
“Actually I look awful”
I hate when people lie
Even about the simplest things
Why tell someone something
You don’t mean
Something kind
With a trace of sarcasm
A bit of attitude
And a hint of a little white lie
Honesty is always the best policy
At least that’s what I was told
Simple is never simple
And the negatives can always be positive
If you’re honest
