She waits
as if she knows what is to come
her heart beats faster
and eyes race around...
then it hits
like an earthquake
shaking her off her feet
one moment- changing everything
she always had,
depended on
and she knows
even with time
things can never be the same

The author's comments:
Sometimes life throws you surprises that can change your life dramatically. I wrote this after finding out my Grandpa was dying. I new it was happening, and just felt myself stuck and having to wait for the moment to come. And when it did I knew even though I would get through it, my life would never be exactly the same.
