Stringed
I am commonly seen as held together
In a fair arrangement of grace and laughter
Ease, easy to please, unbroken entirely
For I am what is now, not what comes after
But those who can see me for what I am
(Underneath, I fall and fall and fall and fall...)
Know I shake and crumble far too easily
And I do not charm, I do not enthrall
I am impure in all forms of the word
But I cannot enchant, captivate, tempt
I am the ashes of lighthearted soul
I am the faintly aware and the lasting attempts
