Plant and find the ball
Touchdown
The heart races
Game winning celebrations
The party because his friends parents were gone
But he drank too much
No one is smart enough to stop him
The heart races
The car roars
Speeding down that gravel road
To drunk to see the drop ahead
It’s too late
The heart races
The splash of the water
The sinking of the car
And the death of a young star
The heart
Stops.
