Ripped Open
My heart gently shakes dropping ever so slowly as I watch you walk away, I hope that wasn't the last goodbye. I see your head turn back, and by the sparkle in your eye you've realized I'll always be there. My heart starts beating faster and faster, until I can hear the pounding in my ears. It prepares for the drop as you pace towards her. You lean in to kiss her ... And just like that everything I knew and everything I know becomes a rapid blur, fog over takes my mind. I do not think, I do not move, I do not talk nor smile. I just stare at what I can't have, and feel the hole in my heat begin to rip open.
