Commercial World
Would it not be grand if life were like the commercials,
A life where “Snap! Crackle! Pop!” could be said anytime out of context,
And everyone agrees to let you “Have It Your Way”,
When you “Taste the Rainbow” nobody gives you peculiar stares,
A place where it is legal to do “Anything for a Klondike Bar”,
Somewhere everyone knew “How Many Licks It Takes to Get to the Center of a Tootsie Pop”,
You know, a life that was “So Easy a Caveman Could Do it”,
A “Kid Tested, Mother Approved” kinda world.
Maybe I’m too optimistic here,
Or “Maybe It’s Maybelline”.
