Crossroads
A fleeting smile, a passing wave
Your stay was ephemeral but forever it will resonate
 Rippling through my heart
 Flowing through my soul
 Like the sunshine rejuvenating
 Everything in its way
 Trickling through the trees
 Hitting the soft grass
 Your steadfast gaze
I never really stood a chance
 Parting of the seas
 God willed it so
 For who knows which gifts
 Tomorrow will bear
 I must let go
 If we meet again
The storm had simply been passing
 If we do not
 You will have been etched
 Forever in my memory
