As the days go

Yesterday
I was sitting in my crib
Quiet at play
Seeing childish whims.

Today
I’m a teen with a dream
To find my way
As I figure life’s scheme.

Tomorrow
I don’t know
But if things go right,
I’ll be old, and ready to go.

And now, my friend,
I say good bye, for this is the end.
