You weren’t careful enough
In your ignorance
Though you had been good at playing god
I figured you out,
Brick by boring brick
I thought I could just turn it off
The love I had, but instead
You are still the only exception for me
And even though I know,
I’ll be feeling sorry later
I am still looking up to you
I still don’t see
Where the lines overlap
And you have tricked me
Like a misguided ghost
I still follow you
Because all I wanted
Was for you to love me back

This is an experiment I tried for my graphic design class. Our project was to design a CD cover of a band we know. I choose the band Paramore. But instead of just lining up the titles on the back of the cover i put them into this poem.
