I lie on my domain alone all day long
Until time draws near for her to hear her song.
She brushes her teeth and pulls me to her,
Then walks in a heavy sir.
He pushes me close to her as he presses in upon my gut,
And up comes the scraggly brown haired mutt.
“Good night my love” he whispers with ease,
Warm surges “Sing the song, daddy please.”
Sigh as the father took a deep breath,
“I will my dear, my sweet Beth.”
He crushes the inside of my soft wool chest
And so I listen to my warm and usual guest.

This poem I wrote after reading a poem from a trash truck's point of view of our society and I wonder how a blanket might view the world.
