In the Rain
On this day
I lay in the rain,
To hear what you say
Of love and pain.
You wanted to drown,
I wanted to fall,
And we were bound
By nothing at all.
We fought to see another day,
We cut for the flow of red,
We marched to claim our long lost way,
We didn't want to see the other dead.
So thank you for caring for me
When I wanted to fall.
I would have given my life
To save you from Death's call.
Take my advice as I take yours,
Despair will always be around,
But even when we aren't together,
It'll never keep us bound.
