Dear Daddy
Dear Daddy,
I love you. I'll always love you. But right now I'm high on gasoline, asphalt, and freedom. For 18 years, I've been sitting in this dead end town. And now I'm gone. I'm not pregnant and no boy has taken me away. I'm not going to join some groupies. I am leaving for me, myself and I.
Don't look for me. I'm riding the wind to anywhere and everywhere but here. As long as you're trying, I'm hiding. I should have gone to college, maybe, but I needed this. I needed to get away from all the rules and lives and people. You might cry a while, but I'll be okay. When I'm ready, I'll keep in touch.
Love Always,
Your Daughter
