Broken Hearts
They walk around lonesome
They shatter on the floor
The one that used to love them
Doesn’t any more.
They search forever
for a true love
Only to be shattered
Again.
Hearts that grow quiet
Hearts that grow cold
As fragile as glass
to weak to be stone.
They try a new love
But fail
And end up shattered
Again.
Nothing can help them
Nothing can unlock their door
To their hearts
That are dark to the core.
They never say never
To a new hope
Even though they’ll get shattered
Again.
Someday they’ll get it
Someday will arrive
Those broken hearts will never stop searching
To reveal what’s been hidden before their blinded eyes.
