What I See
I see the injustice and inequality that plague our world.
I see impoverished people toil to provide few with flashy items and expensive commodities for little in return.
I see ignorant youth taunt and tease those who just happen to be less fortunate.
I see privileged people complain of how difficult it is to sit in school when some can only wish they had that opportunity.
I see even those, who have more than enough, claim they need a fancier phone or more racks of disposable clothing.
I see the waste of energy and food when many struggle just to attain these vital resources.
I see discrimination and prejudice in a society that prides itself on being based on freedom and equality.
I see people use violence to solve insignificant problems without understanding some pray to have hostility expelled from their lives.
I see all this misfortune and it baffles me.
What should I do? What can I do?
I just don’t know.
