Wet Skies
when a poet writes about
rain
they think
wet
water
why
they think about
nature, the darkness and beauty
that surrounds it
how it cleans the earth
and washes away sadness
but brings even more
by being so gray
they think about
the rainbows and come after
the wet shadows and
the thunderous sky
rain can ruin our favorite days
but bring the best memories
of a life time
when a poet thinks about rain
they think
about all these things
and more
because when you are a poet
you dream
