Shipwrecked
I'm disappointment,
a disgrace
and I can feel myself drowning
in this ocean of sins.
Lord, carve me a wooden heart
because this iron ship I call my life is beginning to sink.
I have chosen the wrong course.
Lend me your compass,
and shine down your light
to point me in the right
direction.
Let these waves wash away
my shameful past
and cleanse me of my sins.
I need you
as the captain of my life.
Stitch together my tattered sails
and steer the wheel.
I put all of my faith in you.
