im proud of you
The day you left it brought sadness and bitterness upon the whole family.
The silence in the waiting room, praying you would be okay.
You left us,
You left so quick,
You left so sudden,
All because of one stroke.
You left good memories like holidays, going to sporting events, fishing, and baseball games.
You left bad memories like yelling, cursing, fighting, and the divorce.
No one wanted to see you go,
It was your time though.
To have someone just one day be there for you and the next day be in a hospital bed fighting for there life,
Does some damage on someone
To know I don’t have my uncle around is what hurts the most.
The last time is saw you was at a high school bowling tournament.
I still remember the last words you ever said to me.
“I’m proud of you”.
Remembering that I never got a chance to say good by really makes me hate loving you.
We have had little heartbreak in the family now that you’re gone,
But we are slowly but surly getting back to normal.
