Time somebody told me
I look just like my mom.
I'm a spittin' image they say.
Time somebody told me
Life's not what you wish for
And you have to take it slow.
Time somebody told me
To close my eyes tight
And wish with all my might.
That it may come true,
You never know what it will do.
Time somebody told me
To relax and pray
You never know what exactly God will say.
Time somebody told me.
So I just slow down and take it easy,
While i wait and listen to hear God's voice.
Time somebody told me.
