Why?
Why does day fade
Into the dark and lonely night?
Why do some people live,
While others die?
Why does God
Hide his face?
Why does he help
Some people,
While others suffer?
Why do babies die?
Why aren’t they innocent
In the eyes of God?
Why are they ripped
From the loving arms
Of their mothers,
The only world
They have ever known,
Never to feel
The warmth of the sun
One their tiny angel faces?
Why?
