The grass is green
It tastes like a lime
It sounds like a turtle clawing on a warm, heated rock
It smells like seaweed floating on the ocean's soapy surface
It looks like blooming flowers in the summer
It makes me feel carefree

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem for a school project a while back. Earlier today, I had found it in my desk drawer. It brought back a few good memories, so I thought I'd share it.
