Healer
I see the scars you try to hide,
Both on your arms and on your heart.
I also see the pain inside,
And when I see, I’m ripped apart.
I want so much to heal the pain;
In place of hurt, to give you peace.
To wash away grief’s ugly stain,
And cause your suffering to cease.
I hope you’ll always count on me
To do the very best I can,
But what I do can never be
Enough to heal the heart of man.
But though it’s something I can’t do,
I pray to One who can;
He heals the hearts of man,
And I’ll forever pray for you.
