Safe Inside it's Walls
Is this a dream?
Or a nightmare?
Will this end happy?
Or will it end in despair?
I’m forever in the shadows
And I can’t get out
Nothing can help me
Not a scream or shout
I’m lost and alone
Full of waves of emotion
I can’t see anything
But a deep, black ocean
A small little boat
The only reason why I’m alive
It’s small but strong
And in it, I survive
It keeps me inside its walls
Out of the black, dark grief
It tries to take me away
Like a hooded thief
But this boat keeps me contained
Dry, secure, and warm
With it, I can conquer anything
Every wind, every storm
This boat has a name
Though I would rather not say
It’s very special to me
And he is here to stay
