i shouldn't have told a Lovely Soul
but i couldn't keep driving
the clutch stuck in reverse
the brakes lost in translation
pain so thick i couldn't swim
some secrets are better off told
her eyes empathetic
my life mapped out
finally tangible, finally manageable
i'm glad i told her
my legs stronger than ever
i am learning to stand
my soul giving me directions,
i won't miss crawling into dumpsters
wondering about my sanity
i won't miss you.
not for one.
