Logic is not flawless

Cities from glass with timeless past,
Amongst stars laughing at time
Upon this observatory I sit
Without you, my warrior, for love
Feeling as empty as the void I watch
Needing your touch of wonder
Enthusiasm of both flora and machine
Tempo of fun and dark whimsy
Warrior of steam; come to me
Leave the dour suns of hate
Let us be bereft of these lives of naught
See the stars laughing
See the galaxies beginning
Warrior of Steam, I long for thee

World of Trees
Of steel and concrete
For love of Iron Horses
I feel my wonder waning
Lady of the Stars, watching me
Toil on relics from ages of steam
Waiting for love from thee
Much ador’d nature and sounds
I’d rather have you around
For even though serenity exists
I find it lacking without your kiss
Stars watch with saddened eyes
To see such life standing by
To see how much we can be
Lady of the Stars, where is thee?

This is actually two poems; but they are linked. It describes a woman of the future who sails the stars and a man who works with a railroad museum

"... How dreary to be somebody-- How public like a frog;
To tell one's name; the livelong June-- To an admiring bog"
-Emily Dickinson

I thought this poem was cool, but I had no idea what you were talking about!!! Can you explain the meaning a little? I'd apprectiate it :))
