We are all birds
I stand on my branch alone
And I sing on my branch alone

But then soon
Stray birds wander to my branch
And sing with me at long last
I am content.

The author's comments:
For a long time in school, I felt ignored. I would sit alone in my corner of the world reading my book. I was bullied for several years of elementary school, and was pretty much a pariah in middle school.

But in high school I made some friends, and now my life is so much better. I wrote this poem to say that "We are all birds, and you won't be alone on your branch forever."
