"The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself" -Franklin D. Roosevelt

Only I can see you
Even though you were the one who covered my eyes
Now you’ve been blinded by the darkness
Your true colors are showing.
You tell me ignorance is bliss
When you ignore me, ignorance will be Hades
Try ignoring me with Cerberus on my side.
2+2 is 5 if I say so
If you correct me, don’t try to embarrass me
Someday, I’ll see you take your trip to center stage, where all eyes are on you,
And every mistake is fatal.
Isn’t that what you wanted?
Your words may speak louder than action,
But they can’t pierce my rock-solid soul.
So go ahead, try to figure out my defenses against you
But you won’t.
Because as they say,
Curiosity killed the rat.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write "Invisible" after I had a friend pulling me down and making me feel small and I wrote this poem so that I can have give myself confidence and tell myself, "I am not small." I hope readers who experiencing bullying get inspiration out of my piece.
