I saw a man, a brave man, today
he stood no more than ten feet away
he gazed at me through brainwashed eyes
he was a warrior like me, to my surprise
I saw a man, a brave man, today
in a coat of colors, black, white, and gray
we were enemies, he and I
Just two pawns in chess, on opposite sides.
I shot a man, a brave man, today
I turned his amour red, behind the gray
A widow I’ve made in my countries name
But the man in the mirror was never the same.
