The Storm
The play of winds, the tossing of rain,
Jagged fire, seeking innocents to slain.
Danger’s play, diamond drops,
The stormy clouds, Heaven’s sobs.
The rippling, mirroring, dancing pools,
The biting gales, chillingly cool.
Then the final, magnificent climax,
The earsplitting booms, the explosive clashes.
Then, the end. All is perfectly silent.
Nature is waiting for her refinement.
Then, the refinement! The bow of the Lord,
The calm of the storm, the truce after the war.
