Once I Loved You
Once I loved you,
 Twice I cared,
And thrice I thought you’d always be there

For the fourth I realized my love was unrequited,
For the fifth I realized how it hurt me so,
For the sixth all I wanted to do was let go

On the seventh I thought you were true,
But on the eighth I realized never,
On the ninth I wanted to believe it was not worth my endeavor

The tenth time all was righted,
The eleventh time tables were turned,
The twelfth time was the vengeance I had rightfully earned

Time thirteen was out of the blue,
 Time fourteen used hindsight,
And time fifteen was sloppily used to try to make things right

And for sixteen? Well, let’s just say I’m delighted.
